The last earthly words spoken by Jesus Christ are found in Matthew 28:19-20. He said, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.” This command is known as The Great Commission.
What we are commanded to do as his followers is not optional, but how it is to be done is as varied as imagination, ingenuity, and opportunity allows. Over the millennia since the Great Commission was uttered, multiplied millions have experienced the regeneration, reconciliation and freedom that accompanies the Good News. Central to these efforts are men and women who have been obedient to the call of God on their life to preach, teach, train, and serve humanity in the Name of Christ.
Many ministry efforts are individual, many organized. Faith in the Family International was raised up in 1991 "for such a time as this" to serve those who wish to undertake a ministry outreach funded by public contributions and ministry activities, but who do not wish to be responsible for the management of a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
