"It would seem that restoring the family - not by external means, but through mature recognition and voluntary self-sacrifice - is critical to our survival in these untidy and dangerous times.  Toward that end, respecting men and the important contributions they make to children's lives and to socirty makes more sense than continuously highlighting the strays, deadbeats, dolts, pedophiles, and morons.  That there are enough of these to raise concern merely underscores the need for healthy families.   My guess is that the bad guys didn't have healthy families either."

MINISTRY PLANTING

Through the Ministry Enablers   program of Faith in the Family International, over 40 new ministry programs have been birthed, incubated and nurtured since 1996.  Many of these programs continue to operate under the corporate umbrella of FFI today while others have gone on to establish new non-profit entities.

Ministry Enablers  provides legal, financial, and administrative services as well as a "covering" and accountability f or men and women who are called of God to lead a biblically-based outreach without the hassle or expense of organizing and operating a separate non-profit organization.

MINISTERING TO MEN

Begun in 1999 by a group of pastors and men's leaders with a passion to minister to men in local churches, the Washington Area Coalition of Men's Ministries (WACMM) is a non-profit, non-denominational ministry dedicated to providing top-shelf men's events, leadership training, and speaking and consulting to local churches. Our purpose is to equip and encourage pastors and men's leaders throughout the mid-Atlantic Region.

WACMM has led retreats, seminars, workshops and sponsored major events for men of the Mid-Atlantic and across America. Such gatherings have included Stu Weber in Conference, John Eldredge at the DC Convention Center, Closing the Gap DC Region Men's Rallies 2000, 2001 & 2004, Men First Conference with author David Murrow, the 2004 National Coalition of Men's Ministries Annual Conference, Breakfasts with Coach Joe Gibbs, Stand in the Gap 2007 on the National Mall, and four ISI Conferences in 2007-8.  WACMM is also the founding ministry of the Christian Men's Wall of Honor TM and the Foundation for Manhood.
